Multi-region speed test
The Multi-region speed test action on a site detail page / row fires one check at the target from several vantage points at once, returning for each: success, HTTP status, total and per-stage Response time, actual connected IP, HTTP version, and whether a CDN was hit.
#When to use it
- "It won't open for me" — local or global? Only one region failing usually means a link or regional block; all failing means the site itself.
- CDN effectiveness: compare timings across regions to see whether origin pulls are being stretched.
- Cross-border sites: the gap between domestic and overseas nodes is immediately visible.
Tip
An abnormally slow TLS handshake (seconds in one region) usually points to a cross-border link or certificate negotiation problem — not necessarily a slow site.
